Unexpected Help - Chapter 1The sound of fingers drumming against the counter's surface could be heard as the man stared at the television's screen impatiently. He listened to the newscaster's words carefully, waiting to see if a certain topic would be brought up. So far it was nothing but the usual news thefts, gang activities, shootings, all that typical negative stuff with a touch of pointless advertising. He didn't care about any of that. All he wanted to know about was if a certain rumor going around would be mentioned. As the anchorwoman said her farewells, he let out a sigh. In a way it was a relief that they hadn't spoke of it yet. It was just a rumor after all, but a serious one. He turned off the TV as he prepared to head out before looking at the couch. Keeping his amber eyes locked onto it for a moment, he finally looked over to his companions as they gazed up at him expectantly. Looking back to the sofa, he ran a hand through his sandy-blonde hair.
" Espeon, can you stay behind and look aft
Unexpected Help - PrologueThe wind was strong and relentless, the sand it whipped up stinging his face. The sun was beating down on him with its harsh heat and light, blinding him and causing sweat to drip down his face. His panting mouth was covered with a cloth, a hooded garment protecting the rest of his exposed flesh from the sun's harmful rays. He had been wandering this desert for what felt like, and likely was, hours. All the while, he never saw any oasis or buildings. His Pokémon were all exhausted from their travels, safely resting in the confines of the red and white orbs he normally despised greatly. He had run out of water a while back, and prayed to Arceus above for some kind of relief from this horrid scenario. He kept his tiring legs moving, as there was no sign of any refuge around yet. He had to keep moving. If he dared to stop, he knew his legs would refuse to move again. They screamed at him, begging for rest. But he trekked on, hoping for some kind of miracle.
His travels had brought hi
Hiding -- Chapter 8"Okay, why is she staring at me like that?" Black asked with a huff.
He, N, and Kaitlyn were sitting at a booth table in a restaurant not too far from the port. They were going to grab some breakfast before heading off to Kaitlyn's hometown, since Black's stomach wouldn't stop growling at them. Thankfully for N it was still early in the day, so there weren't too many people in the restaurant. They were all staring at their menus, debating what to order. However, all Black could focus on was the irate glare Kaitlyn's Typhlosion was giving him.
"Oh, she's probably still pissed off that ya canceled on trainin' a while back," Kaitlyn answered without even taking her eyes off of the menu. "I told ya she was gettin' antsy about it. As far as I know she's probably plottin' how to get back at ya."
"I'm sorry, I had a lot going on at the time!" Black retorted. The fire-type's glare didn't falter though.
"Oh, ya mean your mental break down phase? Yeah, the trainin' was supposed to help ya out wi
Hiding -- Chapter 7"Goddam it, Black, hurry your ass up already " Kaitlyn mumbled under her breath as she stared at her watch. Ten minutes until the boat leaves, and the boy was nowhere to be seen. She called him on her Xtransceiver a few minutes ago and he said he was on his way here. So where was he? "For fuck's sake, I should call him again and remind him that it's almost time to go "
"Have some patience, dude," Jake casually replied from the bench he was sitting on. "He'll be here."
"He better be! After all of that effort I had to go through for him last night Dammit, what if he cancelled at the last second on me? I'm callin' him."
"Don't be so paranoid. How much sleep did you even get last night, dude?"
"Not much. Seriously, Black, pick up, dammit."
" Someone needs a nap."
"Oh, put a cock in it."
"I though the phrase was"
"Don't care. Black! Where the hell are ya?"
"Trying to find what pier I'm supposed to meet you guys at! That info would've been nice to know!" Blac
