Vladimir Tod pen drawing

Well, my bro checked out the 5th book in the amazin' series "The Chronicles of Vladimir Tod" by Heather Brewer. And since I'm readin' it when I go on break at work, I'm in a very "Vlad" mood. So when I had some free time, I got a blank receipt slip (since i have no other source of paper), grabbed a pen, and drew what I picture when I think of Vlad as I read. Please note that I said "pen". A black ball-point at that. So I couldn't go and erase any mistakes i made or anythin' that seemed "off" to me. That said, I'm not too thrilled on how the face came out. I wasn't even plannin on puttin' all this detail in it, especially his hair. It was just supposed to be a way to pass the time, but I couldn't help but do what I could to make it look nice. But I'm not that skilled at drawin' with just a pen. At least in my opinion. But I do like how it came out for the most part.

Now, about my design ideas... Okay, so since the book mentions that his bangs hang in his face a lot, i knew i had to put his hair in his face. I just decided to add my own twist by coverin' one of his eyes a bit more than the other. But hey, that's how i picture it. As for his hair in general, i picture it lookin' a bit messy most of the time... Maybe not as messy as I drew it here, but kinda close... I was just goin' a little crazy with the pen and stylin' his hair And the fang... Well, i just drew that for fun! I don't usually picture him with his fangs unless stated otherwise in certain situations. Now then, the hoodie is there because on the covers for most of the books, Vlad is wearin a hoodie. So there, no further explaination needed. And the shirt... Well, i had to add the fang smiley face somewhere! It's the logo for the series after all XD

Well, since I'm in a big Vlad mood, don't be shocked if you see me post more. And these get done durin the work day, and i don't even know if I'm allowed to draw durin work (though no one's said anythin' yet) so we'll see. By the way, if you haven't read the series yet, I highly recommend you do! And obviously, you'll want to start with the first one. You'll be way lost if you start from anywhere else.
